Mobile Ceramic Coating In The Space Coast

Semi-permanent protection that bonds to your paint at a molecular level. UV blocking, hydrophobic, salt-resistant. Years of protection. We come to your location anywhere in Brevard County.

What It Is

Not a Wax. Not a Sealant.
Something Different.

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your paint, gelcoat, or glass when applied, forming a semi-permanent layer that cannot be washed off. Unlike wax, which sits on top of the surface and disappears in weeks, ceramic coating becomes part of the surface. It is harder than clear coat alone, dramatically more hydrophobic, and blocks UV, salt, and chemical contaminants from reaching the underlying paint for years.

Water Beads and Rolls Off

Contact angles above 100 degrees make water sheet off coated surfaces rather than spreading and sitting. Rain, wash water, and salt spray bead up and roll away, carrying contamination with them.

Slows Paint Oxidation

The ceramic layer absorbs and deflects UV radiation that would otherwise break down the clear coat’s polymer chains. Oxidation, fading, and chalking are dramatically slowed even on vehicles parked outdoors full-time in Florida sun.

Acid & Contaminant Protection

Love bug splatter, bird droppings, tree sap, road tar, and industrial fallout are all acidic or chemically aggressive. A ceramic layer gives you time to remove them before they reach the clear coat underneath.

Easier to Clean

Salt, dirt, and pollen do not bond to a coated surface the way they do to bare clear coat. Maintenance washes take significantly less time and effort. Many contaminants rinse off with water alone.

The Application Process

Every Step Has a Reason.
None Get Skipped.

Ceramic coating applied over contaminated or defected paint will bond to the contaminants and defects permanently. The prep process is not optional, it is what makes the difference between a coating that lasts and one that fails early.

1

Paint Thickness Measurement

We gauge every panel before touching anything. This confirms how much clear coat is available and whether paint correction is safe on every surface.

2

Wash & Decontamination

Full wash followed by iron decontamination spray and clay bar treatment. Bonded contaminants must be fully removed before any correction or coating work.

3

Paint Correction

Stage-appropriate machine polishing removes swirl marks, water spots, and defects. The coating locks in whatever is underneath, we ensure that is perfect paint.

4

IPA Wipedown

Isopropyl alcohol wipedown removes all polish oils and surface residue. The surface must be completely bare and oil-free for proper ceramic bonding.

5

Coating Application

Ceramic coating is applied panel by panel in a controlled, shaded environment. Each section is leveled and flash-cured under lighting before moving to the next.

6

Initial Cure & Inspection

Full inspection under direct lighting confirms even application and no high spots. Vehicle enters its cure period with aftercare instructions provided.

Service Area

All of Brevard County.
Your Location.

Space Coast Mobile Detailing covers the full length of Brevard County for ceramic coating applications — from Titusville and the Kennedy Space Center corridor in the north through Cocoa, Merritt Island, Rockledge, Viera, and Melbourne all the way south to Palm Bay and Satellite Beach.

Ceramic coating requires a shaded or garage environment for application. Direct sunlight causes the coating to flash too quickly, leading to high spots and uneven bonding. We discuss location requirements when you book and work with your available shade or garage access.

About Space Coast Mobile Detailing

The Space Coast Standard for Mobile Ceramic Coating

Space Coast Mobile Detailing is a veteran-owned, 100% mobile detailing and ceramic coating company based in Cocoa, Florida, serving vehicle, boat, and RV owners throughout all of Brevard County. We bring a complete ceramic coating operation, machine polishers, decontamination products, professional-grade coatings, dedicated lighting, and all supporting equipment, directly to your location. No shop, no drop-off, no waiting.

We apply ceramic coating to cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, pontoons, RVs, and motorhomes. The application process is the same regardless of the surface: full decontamination, paint correction where needed, IPA wipe down, and precise coating application in a controlled shaded environment. The prep process is non-negotiable, a ceramic coating applied over contaminated or defected paint bonds to those problems permanently.

For Brevard County vehicle and vessel owners, ceramic coating is the single most practical long-term protection investment available. Florida’s 230+ annual sunny days, coastal salt air from the Atlantic and Indian River Lagoon, two annual love bug seasons, and hard-water irrigation overspray create a uniquely aggressive degradation environment. Ceramic coating does not just make surfaces look better, it changes the rate at which they deteriorate. That difference compounds over years and is reflected directly in maintenance cost, appearance, and resale value.

Cure Time & Aftercare

What Happens After
We Apply the Coating.

Ceramic coating needs time to fully cure and reach its rated hardness. During the cure window, the coating is vulnerable to water, contamination, and physical contact. We provide full aftercare instructions with every application, here is the general timeline.

0-1 HR

Initial Flash Cure

Coating sets on the surface. Do not touch, cover, or let anything contact the vehicle. Vehicle stays stationary in the shaded application area.

24 HR

No Water Exposure

The vehicle must stay dry for 24 hours minimum. No rain, no washing, no morning dew if possible. Keep it garaged or covered overnight.

48 HR

Avoid Contamination

No bird droppings, tree sap, or harsh chemicals in the first 48 hours. The coating is bonding and has not yet reached working hardness.

7 DAYS

First Gentle Wash Allowed

First wash can be done by hand using a pH-neutral soap and clean microfiber mitt. No brushes, no pressure washer on paint surfaces, no automatic washes.

14–30 DAYS

Full Cure Reached

The coating reaches its rated hardness and full chemical resistance. Normal use resumes. Maintain with pH-neutral soap and ceramic maintenance spray annually.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ceramic Coating Questions, Answered.

Everything Space Coast vehicle and boat owners ask us before booking a ceramic coating application.

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to a vehicle’s paint, glass, gelcoat, or other surfaces when applied. It forms a semi-permanent protective layer that is significantly harder than clear coat alone, repels water, blocks UV radiation, resists chemical contaminants, and dramatically reduces how easily dirt and salt bond to the surface.

Lifespan depends on the product tier, vehicle maintenance habits, and storage conditions. Entry-level coatings provide 1 to 2 years of protection. Mid-tier products last 3 to 5 years. Premium multi-layer coatings can last 5 or more years even in Florida’s harsh UV and salt environment with proper pH-neutral maintenance washing.

Yes. Florida’s UV intensity, coastal salt air, love bug acid seasons, and hard water irrigation overspray make ceramic coating one of the highest-return protection investments available. It dramatically slows paint oxidation, makes salt and love bug removal significantly easier, reduces detailing frequency, and protects resale value — all critical factors for any vehicle in Brevard County.

Yes, always. Ceramic coating bonds permanently to whatever condition the paint is in when it is applied. Swirl marks, water spots, and oxidation will be visible and locked in under the coating. We assess your paint and recommend the appropriate stage of correction before any coating application.

Yes. We apply ceramic coating to cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, and RVs. Marine ceramic coating for fiberglass gelcoat and RV ceramic coating for fiberglass panels are among the most high-value applications we offer given the exposure levels these vehicles face in Florida’s coastal environment.

Yes. We are 100% mobile. Ceramic coating does require a shaded or garage environment for application — direct sunlight causes the coating to flash unevenly. We discuss location requirements when you book and work with your available setup anywhere in Brevard County.

Wax is a temporary surface layer that sits on top of the paint and washes off over 4 to 12 weeks. Ceramic coating chemically bonds to the surface at a molecular level, forming a semi-permanent layer that lasts years. Ceramic is harder, more hydrophobic, more UV-resistant, and more chemically resistant than any wax. It does not wash off, it bonds permanently.

A single-layer coating on a sedan including all prep typically takes one full day. Multi-layer coatings or larger vehicles may require two days. The vehicle then needs 24 hours with no water exposure and 7 to 30 days to reach full cure and hardness depending on the product tier applied.
